Black, White, & Red All Over

Almost everyone  at the 2011 Emmy Awards were wearing either black, blue, white, or red.  Below is our take on the highs and lows of the fashion seen on the red carpet:

Kate Winslet is a winner both on stage and on the red carpet in this Elie Saab 

gown.  We love the cap sleeves and plunging neckline--along with her 

Cartier jewelry and chic updo.

Newcomer Nina Dobrev (Vampire Diaries) looks stunning in a very flattering
Donna Karan dress, Brian Atwood heels, and Neil Lane jewelry.

Kelly Osbourne flaunts her new figure in a stunning J Mendel gown.  We love her
platinum updo--and brava on wearing a different color!


Sofia Vergara looks stunning in Vera Wang.  We loved her "huge"
Columbian emerald earrings as well!





You can never go wrong in Tom Ford.  Jon Hamm looks dapper as
always, and we love his lady in a vintage yellow dress.


Claire Danes loves taking risks and almost never goes wrong.
We adore this Oscar de la Renta gown, the color is perfection.

Amy Poehler is hilarious, but there is nothing funny about this Peter Som dress.  It's

 unflattering to her figure, and reminds us of a Starfleet Uniform turned ballgown.

Sorry Gwenyth--we tried to like this Emilio Pucci dress, but couldn't.  The tulle fringe

 looks messy, and we couldn't stomach the midriff cut-out (pun intended).

Katie Holmes bores us in Calvin Klein.  This is the Emmy's--it's okay to add 

glitzy jewelry.  And Katie, did Tom do your hair?    

Is it just us, or is everyone sick of seeing Jayma Mays look so frumpy?  John Stamos did 

want to marry her on Glee--make us believe it!  We're not liking anything about this 

Zuhair Murad gown--the neckline, the layers, it's all wrong.
